Summer Burgers!

Once your friends and family have tasted this home made burger patty recipe …….. you have a job for life, just putting it out there!

These burgers are perfect for that outdoor sunshine barbeque party and a double whammy ….. they are freezer friendly!

 Recipe

Makes 8 burger patties

Ingredients

  • 2 lb extra lean ground beef

  • 4 slices bread processed into crumbs

  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley

  • 1/2 roasted red bell pepper finely chopped (store bought in a jar are suitable)

  • 1/2 large onion finely chopped

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tablespoon onion powder

  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

    Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients really well.

  2. Portion the beef mixture into 8 portions. (Weigh your beef mixture and divide by 8)

  3. Make a ball with each portion then place on a flat surface and flatten into a burger patty.

  4. For best results refrigerate the patties for 1 hour before cooking.

  5. Barbeque until fully cooked. (Internal temperature of 165 F)

  6. Serve with lettuce, tomato and onion slices.

  7. Cheese slices may be placed on top of the patties. Do this 1 minute before cooking is complete.

    And there you have it! You are a grill master!
