Pears Poached in Red Wine

Serves 8
Ingredients
4 pears (preferably Bosch variety)
Red wine (approx. 500ml)
1 cinnamon stick
3 cloves
Greek yoghurt
Garnish with mint leaves, maple syrup and chopped pistachio nuts (optional)
Method
Peel the pears, slice in half and cut away the seeds.
Place in a deep saucepan and cover with red wine.
Add the cinnamon and cloves.
Poach on a low heat for 2 hours.
Cool and serve with the yoghurt and garnishes.
